American Singles is a user-friendly dating site that provides lots of great features for online dating and/or matchmaking. These include email, real-time search, Instant Messaging (IM), chat (free), and video chat. One cool and unique feature is a search by telephone area code, by zip code, or by city. This allows you to check availability singles near you without having to register. The name American Singles is a little misleading. The site does serve singles from other countries, though the greater number of membership are from North America (US and Canada). If you are from another country and want to meet someone from the US or Canada, this is the site for you. Additional unique features include: a "Flirt" , which is a fun and quick way to let someone you are interested and a "Hot list" that keeps track of profiles you have looked up as well as notifies you when someone checks out your profile (this feature can be turned off).
