Creating Good First Dates – Where to Take Her

First dates present that all too important first impression, make or break decision at the end of the night; whether you'll see her again. Some of us panic, sweat and are completely unprepared to what the night has in store for us. Others rock and roll ever so easily, and make it on to the second date.
So, this will be the deal breaker; where are you going to take her?

Below are lists of suggestions to help you prepare for that activity, as well as some handy hints.

Start with a Movie
The most common and safest first dates is enjoying a movie. Be sure to choose something both you will enjoy. However, if the movie you choose bombs, be sure you have an exciting back up plan to recover from the disappointment. A downside to the movie is it doesn't present much talk time. So, you should still have a plan for after the movie to get to know each other.

1) Check out movie times before hand. Be considerate when choosing the movie and ask what she likes. When and if she cannot choose something to see, make a recommendation. But again, beware. If you pick a dud, this is a strike against you.

2) Make sure you purchase whatever junk food she wants. Even if you have dinner plans afterwards, be a gentleman and ask what she wants.

3) The movie presents a great opportunity for conversation afterwards. Take advantage of this time to get to know her.

Restaurants

Restaurants provide an opportunity to get to know someone. Choose a comfortable place with good food.

1) Ask your date about any special eating requirements. She may have allergies or be a vegetarian or vegan or simply have strong dislikes.

2) Ask some friends or family for recommendations.

3) Check out the venue and reviews of food beforehand.

4) Take the menu and prices into consideration – Can you afford what's listed on the menu? Do not wait until you arrive at the restaurant to decide it's too expensive.

5) Consider what you will wear. She will be checking your attire out and it should be appropriate for the surroundings.

A Romantic Walk
1) Remain in a safe location that is well lit. A warm weathered evening is the perfect opportunity to take a romantic stroll.

2) There's no need to rush. Walk at a slow pace, enjoy the conversation and learn as much as you can about her. Now, this may not be the best idea if your date is wearing heels. However, this could be an opportunity to sit on a bench and for you to offer to rub her feet. This is a sure way to get the 2nd date.

Ending the Night as a Gentleman
You don't want to rush and have her jump to the wrong impression. Tell her what a great time you had and in jest, how you hope she gives you a second date. Gently kiss her on the cheek and tell her you will call to check her calendar.
