Free vs. Pay Dating Sites – Which One Is Better?
There are arguments for or against fee and pay (subscription) dating services. And, granted, many happy relationships have originated from both types. But should you go with a free dating site, or social networking site for that matter or a paid subscription dating service?
Well let’s start by looking at the advantages and disadvantages of the two:
Advantages of Free Dating Sites
1. Free dating services are… well, free.
2. Well, the advantages seem to end at no.1 above.
Disadvantages of Free Dating Sites
1. Customer service is lackluster or non-existent. After all, the site has to keep costs as low as possible as there is no revenue coming in form of subscriptions.
2. The quality of people that sign up on free dating sites is usually low. Expect to go through lots of “set it and forget it” types of personal profiles, posted by people who no longer remember that they signed up in the first place. Don’t expect to find many serious people on free sites.
3. Since the site is free, revenue must come from somewhere. This means lots of advertising, and sometimes you can pick up malicious ware such as viruses and spyware in your computer.
4. Some free dating sites are designed to get your name, IP and email address, and then bombard you with emails about dating, love and, especially, sex.
5. Crooks and scammers like to use free dating services because there is no paper trail left by use of a credit card. They know they can wreck havoc and get away with it as there is no way of tracking them.
Advantages of Paid Dating Sites
1. While customer service differs by site, you can expect a little more care and attention when you are coughing up some dough. They want to keep your business, so they will help you in any way they can.
2. Pay dating sites offer many more features and benefits to their users and are always developing new useful technologies.
3. You can expect more serious people looking for relationships. After all if someone is willing to pay a small fee to find love then that person must be serious.
5. Crooks, scammers and time-wasters avoid pay dating sites as they can always wreck havoc for free at free sites. They also know that, unless using a stolen credit card, they can always be tracked down.
Disadvantages of Pay Dating Sites
1. Paid dating sites charge a fee for subscription.
2. Read no.1 again.
I don’t know about you, but I would rather pay the nominal subscription fee and enjoy the benefits of a paid dating service.

Paying for a product or service is more than likely better than anything that is offered for free (of course there are some exceptions). The quality is usually the biggest issue with free things, so just beware of that. Money has became a powerful thing throughout the world and everyone wants the utilize their opportunities. I have used both style dating sites and both worked to some extent for me, but I really enjoyed the services with the paid sites. At this point in my life that amount of money is well worth the experience.
