Good Romantic Ideas for the Two of You

Here are some good romantic ideas that you might not have thought about. There are suggestions here for men and women. Some will be appreciated by both.

A CD of special songs is an example of something that anyone will enjoy. The two of you probably have some favorites. You’ll want to include your favorites as a couple and those that are special to your significant other. Try not to include songs that you like unless you are sure that he or she likes them, too.

Surprise her by taking her to her favorite restaurant. Surprise him by ordering pizza and buying a six pack of his favorite beer. Everyone likes surprises.

If you can afford it, buy some tickets to a special event that you know he or she will love. Even if it is not your favorite thing to do, pretend to enjoy it and see what happens.

Gift certificates might not seem that special. But if you make the right choices, they can be.

Women love being pampered with a personal massage or a pedicure. It might surprise you to know that guys like that stuff too. There are some wonderful resorts where you can both be pampered for a whole weekend.

How about some romantic evening ideas? Instead of going out for dinner or seeing a show, build a fire in the fireplace and have a picnic in the living room.

If both of you are on a budget, the gesture will be appreciated. If you have money to burn, rent a limo for the night or take a horse-drawn carriage through the park.

On a warm evening, you can have a real picnic underneath the stars. Surprise her with a book about the constellations.

Give him his own piece of the moon. There are companies selling an acre of land on the moon for a reasonable price. The moon and stars are often the best part of romantic evening ideas.

Is there a drive-in nearby? Drive-ins have old-fashioned charm. The sound quality might not be the best, but the two of you will feel like you are getting a private showing in the comfort of your own vehicle.

Spend the day at the beach. Take a walk through the woods. Visit a museum. Go to an amusement park. Take a tour of the city.

Any of those things can be good romantic ideas as long as you hold hands.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I like all of them and already have tried a few. I usually do surprises I know my boyfriend will like, and usually it’s not something I’d normally enjoy. However, it’s not always about what you like, it’s about doing something your partner likes and finding joy in the happiness it brings them. However, I’m pretty lucky to have a boyfriend I have a lot of common interests in. We get to enjoy them together. That’s why my surprises are usually things he only likes, because it’s not a common thing for us to share together. You never know, you may actually start to like what he does after you’ve experienced it.

Lorna from Buy a plot of land on the moon @ 9:57 am

These tips are pretty awesome! I love the idea about having a picnic in the living room or under the stars sounds really romantic! Plus cheap to do but I would really appreciate that! I bought my boyfirend a plot of land on the moon and it really went down well he loved it! I bought it from Treatme because it was on offer and it was something different and he can keep it forever. <3 thank you for the great tips!!!
