Don't use any pick up lines. This is the worst. Have and enjoy casual conversation. Pick up lines make women feel like a man is "running game" on them and sometimes makes them feel cheap. Running game is nothing but using pick up lines to sleep with a woman or man and the plan is usually to never see that person again. Avoid using these lines at all costs.
Don't be afraid to take a chance every now and then. Rejection shouldn't be your number one fear. Whether he or she likes you or decides to take you up on your offer out to dinner, doesn't mean it's the end of the world. That's just one person and there are plenty of people out in the world for you to meet and greet. At the same time, don't go out with the intention of putting that person down just to meet the next person.
Whether you believe it or not, body language says a lot more than you ever could. Watch what signals you are sending with your body that you aren't saying with words. It's bad if you're telling a person, "yes I think you're cute", but your body language is saying "I just want to run away!". Don't send mixed messages. Honesty is greatly appreciated.
There is a difference between being sexy and looking like you just worked a long shift on the corner! Sexy is very much appropriate, but don't overdo it. You don't have to dress with all the buttons hooked, showing a little something is fine, but when you have things falling out of your dress, you're doing a little too much!
