Many have take issue with the dating site Beautifulpeople.com for kicking out 5000 of its members simply because they had put on a few extra pounds over the holidays. And as if this is not ugly enough by itself, the owner of this site had the audacity to support this ugly action by uttering even uglier words.
This guy by the name Robert Hintze was quoted as saying, “”Letting fatties roam the site is a direct threat to our business model”. Who said that “fatties” can’t be beautiful? And whose standard of beauty is this nut referring to? But perhaps Mr. Hintze is not so much a nut as he is an astute business person: the site has been getting lots of free publicity. I’m pretty sure there many knocking on the door in attempt to belong in this exclusive club (not everybody who thinks they are beautiful gets accepted). Somewhere there waiteth in this world of ours
For one lone soul another lonely soul,
Each choosing each through all the weary hours,
And meeting strangely at one sudden goal,
Then blend they, like green leaves with golden flowers,
Into one beautiful and perfect whole;
And life’s long night is ended, and the way
Lies open onward to eternal day.

The following inspiring story was emailed to me by an internet friend. It’s a story about a simple action that made a huge difference in someone’s life, as well as a story about true friendship and how it can make a difference. Here we go:
One day, when I was a freshman in high school, I saw a kid from my class was walking home from school. His name was Kyle. It looked like he was carrying all of his books. I thought to myself, “Why would anyone bring home all his books on a Friday? He must really be a nerd.” I had quite a weekend planned (parties and a football game with my friends tomorrow afternoon), so I shrugged my shoulders and went on.
As I was walking, I saw a bunch of kids running toward him. They ran at him, knocking all his books out of his arms and tripping him so he landed in the dirt. His glasses went flying, and I saw them land in the grass about ten feet from him. He looked up and I saw this terrible sadness in his eyes. My heart went out to him. So, I jogged over to him and as he crawled around looking for his glasses, and I saw a tear in his eye. More on A Story About True Friendship and How a Simple Good Act Can Make a Difference

“Can I see my baby?” the happy new mother asked. When the bundle was nestled in her arms, and she moved the fold of cloth to look upon his tiny face, she gasped. Totally by accident, I came across this article about new buzz words… well, just one new buzz word. For some reason any word that carries “sex” (kangaroo word?) somewhere in its belly tends to peak my interest. Call me sick, but its just who I am.
Anyway, I’ll let you read it for yourself. It’s professionally written, but still “readable” to mere mortals like myself:
The newly popular media and marketing buzzword seems to mean different things to different people, but in general, a metrosexual…

For many, an enormous sex drive may seem like a nice problem to have. But, it can also be… well, a problem. How so? Try 300 orgasms a day. Read on.
Persistent Sexual Arousal Syndrome results in a spontaneous and persistent genital arousal, with or without orgasm or genital engorgement, unrelated to any feelings of sexual desire. It was first documented by Dr. Sandra Leiblum in 2001, only recently characterized as a distinct syndrome in medical literature. In addition to being very rare the condition is also frequently unreported by sufferers who may consider it shameful or embarrassing.
Physical arousal caused by this syndrome can be very intense and persist for extended periods, days or weeks at a time. Orgasm can sometimes provide temporary relief, but within hours the symptoms return. The symptoms can be debilitating, preventing concentration on mundane tasks.
