At 5 feet and 8 inches, I do not "qualify" as tall. Some would even call me short though I'm only 4 inches shy of the, apparently, qualifying minimum height of 6 feet to be considered tall. So while I do not fall in the category of short guys per se, I can relate to the pain of being dismissed by some hot chicks merely on grounds of not being tall. That's why I was glad to come across a very well-written post offering short men dating tips.

Some men seem to have all the luck when it comes to women. Yet some of these "lucky" guys are not always the tallest, nor the most handsome. How many times have you heard someone ask "what do girls see in him" while referring to some apparent babe-magnet?

Just like some women have a natural ability to seduce guys, some men do have a natural flair to attract the ladies. Fortunately, it is a skill that can be acquired. Here are a few techniques to attract a girl:

1. Attraction in most cases begins with the physical. Use your best physical attributes to your advantage. This may be your smile, your muscular build, and yes, even your butt (just don't walk around without pants on, okay?).

2. Be confident. Women love confidence in a man. Hold your head up high. Stand up straight. Look like you know what you want, where you're going and how to get there. Feel and look confident without conveying arrogance. And, this does not mean that you shouldn't ask for help when you need it.

3. Communication. Girls often evaluate men on just a few minutes of conversation. They are often more interested in what you say than what you look like. If you haven't already done so, start developing your communications skills now. The best way to do this is to form the habit of reading a on wide range of subjects and literary material including books and magazines. This also helps make you knowledgeable about lots of things which in turn makes you look "smart".

4. Chase not. For some reason, when you begin to chase a woman usually tends to run. On the other hand, if other girls are chasing you even more will do the same. Act like you can do with or without her (just don't tell her so!).

5. Dress nicely. Be well-groomed, clean and neat. No "natural scents" or any type of body odors. A nice-smelling deodorant is often all you need, but cologne, after shave etc also help. Avoid clashing scents (using different fragrances or brands at the same time). Also, a hint of scent works better than an overpowering one that seems to penetrate the nostrils.

6. Appreciate that all women are different. Forgot what you heard about all women being "the same". Each woman is different and unique and wants to be treated as such. Avoid stereotyping. When with a woman pay attention to her, listen to what she says. Show her she is interesting.

7. Try humor. No, don't be the class clown. Woman love a guy who can have fun and make them laugh. Humor can be created out every day things and events. If you watch the Jay Leno TV show you know what I mean.
