Online Dating For the Single 30 Something Woman

Life isn’t fair. Men, it seems, get all the breaks. You’ve devoted all of your 20’s to getting your career off the ground. Not that you haven’t been dating… you have, but not seriously.

Now here you are… 30 something and there is no long term relationship in sight. You can actually hear your biological clock ticking. You have a precious few years to find a man to fall in love with, make him fall in love with you, get married, and have a baby or its lights out. You already know all of the men in your social circle. Not that they aren’t nice guys – some of them are – but none of them is your soul mate. What’s a girl to do?

Consider online dating. You have the opportunity to read hundreds of profiles and look at hundreds of pictures in search of that “someone” that will be right for you. Maybe he will live in the same city you do…maybe he will live across the country or even in another country altogether. You aren’t limited to only those men that you come in contact with personally. The possibilities are almost endless.

“Is online dating safe”, you ask. “Aren’t the online dating sites made up entirely of perverts, sexual predators and weirdoes in assorted shapes and sizes?”  The answer is, no they aren’t. Not anymore anyway. That was true when online dating first came on the scene but now it is mainstream. It’s as safe as you make it using common sense and sound judgment.

Use the same caution that you would when meeting any stranger. Don’t give out your real name, address or phone number until you feel safe doing so. Don’t rush into a face-to-face meeting until you are confident and then make the first meeting in a public place and during daylight hours. Give it a try. Mr. Right might be a few mouse clicks away.

Sorry, Mr. Perfect Does Not Exist

The sooner you realize this sad but true fact, the sooner you can get on with finding Mr. Close-Enough-To-Perfect. Prince Charming, riding on a white stallion, lost his way or found Princess Charming and got married on his way to your castle.

Get over it and get on with it. You ARE going to have to actively seek the man of your dreams and you won’t find him hiding under your bed. You already know that he isn’t among the men that you are acquainted with so, now what? Online dating is “what”.

How to Say I Love You?

Remember the words from an old song…

“Be sure it’s true when you say I love you, it’s a sin to tell a lie”.

The concept of “sin” has lost its meaning for most in our modern era, and even “love” has lost its importance.

If you still believe in “falling in love” then you will realize how difficult it is to say, “I love you” in a meaningful way. Three little words that could change your life forever. The words, themselves, have lost their meaning because of overuse especially when it’s not really true. Virtually everybody says them often without meaning it.

The Evolution of Dating – Part I

Dating use to be uncomplicated. We knew exactly what the night held, a pretty good idea of expectations and we just needed to be interesting and endearing to our date. There are no more boxes of candy, no more flowers, a bow tie and a nice smile.

We’ve upped the ante and the bar is set so high, we’re hesitant to even go out on a date.

Dating is a social or affectionate appointment with hopes of getting to know each other better; trying to find your compatible soul mate. Dates used to be thoughtfully arranged by a third party, a family member or close family friend. Today, more often than not, we meet suitors in trendy bars, online and matchmaking services.

Today’s concept of dating has changed. It has traditionally been a man’s responsibility to pay for the date; the practice of Going Dutch, which is splitting the costs, has now emerged.

Traditional dating activities:

1. Gentleman informs lady he will be stopping by to visit her. They dress up or dress casual and sit in front room and chat. Upon departing, man asks for a second date the next week and gives woman kiss on the cheek.

2. Gentleman arrives with box of candy and/or flowers in hand and takes woman out to a movie or fancy dinner. Upon arriving back to woman’s home, gentleman tells woman how he enjoys her company, asks for another date in the future and gives woman kiss on cheek.

3. On the third date, gentleman picks woman up at her home by walking to front door, delivering yet another bouquet of flowers and continuing on their way. After date, they arrive back to woman’s home; gentleman gets a kiss on lips from the woman.

Today’s dating activities:

1. Guy calls woman on cell phone and informs her he’s a block away and will be there in 5 minutes to visit. Upon arriving, woman invites him in and after a casual chat, they might begin kissing.

2. On the second date, gentleman arrives, calls on cell phone to inform woman he’s waiting outside and to hurry up so they won’t miss the movie. Upon arriving back to her home, they begin kissing and probably will bypass the front room and go straight to the bedroom.

3. On the third date, I believe they are boyfriend and girlfriend now, if there is a third date? No flowers, no candy, they never made it to a fancy restaurant.

Now, this is not true for everyone. The scenarios will change; however, dating activities have definitely changed. Everyone has his/her own views and concepts of dating but we all seem to be to be in a mad rush to find The Right One.

Say Happy Valentine’s Day from Work

In a perfect world, Valentine’s Day would come complete with a rose-scented bath, expensive wine, succulent sweets, and enough time off of work to thoroughly enjoy it all with that special someone. But let’s face it; you’ll be lucky to leave the office early enough to prepare the normal evening meal let alone anything special. Since running past the supermarket for a bouquet of faded flowers seems a bit cheesy and overdone, what can you do to show your significant other that you care on Valentine’s Day without calling in sick?

Although calling in sick is a good option, it is not always feasible. There are just times when you must buckle down and get the job done, even if it is Valentine’s Day. Here are a few sweet and simple things that you can do to show your sweetie that you care on this special day for lovers:

*If you start early, you can shower your special someone with small gifts all day. This will make him/her feel like they are constantly on your mind even while you are at work. A simple card at breakfast, a phone call or email in the morning, and a flower delivery in the afternoon will do the trick. And the best part? It won’t take a lot of time to shower your lover with small gifts all day long.

*If you work within close proximity of each other, you may want to schedule a special lunch rather than wait for the evening to celebrate. Once home, the rigors of the day are bound to catch up with you leaving you feeling tired, stressed, and not in the mood to put forth the extra effort to celebrate. You may also have children that will be home in the evening. This makes it difficult to enjoy time alone as a couple.

*Never underestimate the power of a small note tucked away into a briefcase or work folder. Sometimes the simplest gestures mean the most especially if they are unexpected.

*Plan to meet right after work for a romantic evening out on the town. This will allow you to spend the evening out, but still be home in plenty of time to go to bed for work the next morning. To keep the date from feeling impromptu or casual, hire a car and driver for the night.

*Give a rain check. Give your significant other a coupon to be used on your next day off together. List on the coupon possible things that you could do to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Have them check off the things they would guaranteed no fax payday loanno fax payday loan missouripayday loan 1000chicago in loan payday store, chicago loan payday storeadvance cash fax no paydayadvance loan payday software? ?cashcheck credit loan no payday,no teletrack no credit check payday loanpay day cash advance payday loan, pay day loan cash advanceadvance cash fax no,1000 advance cash no fax, cash advance no fax requiredadvance cash check credit nocash advance payday loan softwareadvance cash loan onlinenational cash advanceadvance cash fast loan paydaybudget line cash advance, advance cash on line, advance cash line loanonline payday cash advance, online cash advance, online casino cash advancefast cash advance payday loanadvance cash lawsuit pre settlement, lawsuit cash advance, lawsuit settlement cash advanceadvance america cashadvance business cash unsecured, cash advance for small business, business cash advance5 advance cash illinois loan, cash advance loan illinoiscash until payday loancash advance no credit check, advance cash check credit no,advance cash check credit no onlinecash advance loan online, advance cash loan online, advance cash fast loan online paydaycash loan payday tiladvance card cash creditace cash advanceno fax faxless cash advance payday loan, faxless cash advance, advance cash faxless loancash loan payday tillquick cash payday loanadvance cash company, scams on cash advance companyadvance cash loan payday softwareloan oneclickcash paydaycash in advance loan, cash advance loan no fax, cash advance loan new jerseyadvance cash overnightadvance advance america cashinheritance cash advanceallied cash advanceadvance cash day pay, cash advance until pay daymagnum cash advance, advance cash faxing magnumbusiness cash advance, cash advance, cash advance no credit checkcash advance nowadvance cash company loan, advance cash company scams, cash advance companycash advance payday loaninstant cash advance, advance approval cash instant secure, instant approval cash advancecheck cash advance, advance cash cashing check gary, gary,no credit check loan cash advancecash advance detroitpayday us fast cash loan, fast cash payday loanbank of america cash advance, advance america cash loan, cash advance americaadvance cash loan loan payday like to do and cash it in on a day that you can both share.

Pretty much all of us know what someone’s talking about when they say, “Hey, I was on a date, and — wow — we had incredible chemistry.” In a nutshell, that means that these two people felt such a strong attraction to each other that they couldn’t wait to get somewhere, ahem, a little more private, right? Love and Romance: Romantic Getaway Tips to Create a Spark

Need some tips for adding some spark to your romantic life? Well, here are some suggestions for romantic getaways that will light up the fire in your romance in no time.

ideas for romantic escapes range from very modest to elaborate. Let’s take a look at a few, shall we?

Make Your Home a Hideaway

Yes, home. I know: you’re probably thinking that this won’t work, but if you prepare just a little bit, it will be a great success. What you want is an at home vacation. Schedule your vacation in advance, like if you were leaving home, unplug your phones, and let your friends and family know you are on vacation.

Once your “at home” vacation starts, here are some things you may want to include to add to the experience:

-go to the library, pick out a book you both like, and read it out loud to each other while sitting on your back porch, or by the fireplace.

-rent a documentary about a foreign city you always wanted to visit, like Paris, and afterwards have dinner at a local restaurant that serves the cuisine you would find in that city.

-watch a romantic movie and fall asleep in each other’s arms.

Seclusion in the Woods

The woods can be magical. Especially if you apprediate nature’s gifts; the singing of birds, trees swaying to a gentle breeze

a vacation away from everything can be wonderfully romantic. You can rent a cabin, or go camping (if you both enjoy it), and really get to know each other again, both emotionally and physically.

Need a few more ideas? Here they are:

-build a fire in your cabin, if it has a fireplace, or a bonfire outside (make sure it’s legal!), and roast some marshmallows, which you can feed each other

-go for a long hike, and bring along a blanket so that when you get tired you can lie down in a private area and add some spice to the hike

-make some music together: if you can play an instrument such as guitar or harmonica the better: serenade each other. Or, if you are not musically inclined, bring along a CD of old favorites and sing along with the music

Relax on a Tropical Island

Well, this is a more costly one, but may be well worth it. Why are tropical islands romantic? With the sun and tropical breezes on your bare skin, the sunsets by the ocean, coupled with some quality relaxing time it’s impossible not to feel reenergized and more romantic.

While on the island, schedule some pampering for both of you: a nice spa treatment complete with a massage, followed by a glass of quality wine, some chocolates, and whatever else you are inspired to do….

Return to Your Honeymoon Hotel

Call it a second honeymoon or anything you like. But this trip may be even more romantic than the first time you made it.

Now you know each other’s bodies enough to be able to drive your partner wild. And with a treasure trove of memories to share, nostalgia will play a great role in the reenactment of this love story.

You may even want to take some new vows: this time design them to protect and rekindle your romance.

Now, what are you waiting for? Go and plan your next romantic getaway!

No Luck Dating in 2007?

Here in the US, we’re just a few hours away from ushering in the New Year, 2008. Those in the Western coast are closer, those in the Pacific Islands such as Hawaii even more so.

As we reflect on our lives during the year 2007, we cannot help but think of the things that did not go our way, or that we could have done better. It is just human nature, to think more of the things that don’t are not right than those which are.

On the positive side, it is the things that we did not do well, or well enough that inspire us to do better next time. This is the basic reason for making all those New Year resolutions: to make an improvement. And it is good.

I’m not against New Year resolutions, but to me everyday should be a new beginning. Most New Year resolutions get broken somewhere along the way. But once one decides that every day is a new beginning, you can always pick up from where you left off, or start something new altogether. All the same, don’t let this be an excuse for not sticking to your resolutions.

No dating luck in 2007? My hope and wish is that he/she comes into your life in 2008 (or even sooner). Acceptance that you do need someone in your life is the very first step towards attracting him/her to you and you to him/her.

The next step is to take action. Be proactive. Go out there and meet people. Sign up with a reputable dating site if you have not already done so.

If you have signed up with a dating service, ask yourself if it is the right one for you. You see, some specialty dating site might help you get the right person than general dating sites. There are dating sites for serious or casual dating. There are sites for senior (or mature) dating, for dog lovers, bike lovers, gay or lesbian dating (the list is endless).

Maybe all you need is to tweak you personal profile. Reading up on the subject might help.

And above all, don’t give up. Love is too good a thing to give up on. The right person is out there. You just need a way to meet her/him.

Wishing you a most happy and prosperous New Year, filled with love.

Sincerely,

David

Valentine’s Day Gifts for Your Boyfriend

Many women are often excited about the thought of buying a Valentine’s Day gift for their boyfriends. However, when they actually start shopping for a gift, they often run into a few problems. The most significant problem is they have trouble coming up with a gift idea which they think is both appropriate for Valentine’s Day and is also appropriate for the current state of the relationship. In many cases the biggest problem is that women do not realize that men most likely do not view Valentine’s Day in the same way as women. Women put a great deal of importance of Valentine’s Day when they are in a relationship but most men do not feel as strongly about this holiday and do not have expectations which are as high. This article will provide some gift ideas for women to give their boyfriends on Valentine’s Day.

For a relationship which is rather new, choosing a Valentine’s Day gift for your boyfriend can seem like a daunting task. However, it does not have to be. One of the best ways to select a Valentine’s Day gift at this point in your relationship is to carefully consider your boyfriends interests in selecting a gift. Instead of trying to find a gift which will be symbolic of your feelings, try giving a gift which your boyfriend would appreciate for any holiday. He is not likely expecting an ornate gesture of love so a simple gift with his interests in mind is likely to be appreciated. For example if your boyfriend enjoys running you might buy him a subscription to a running magazine or enter him in a race you know he would be interested in running such as a local marathon.

Books can also make great gifts for your boyfriend on Valentine’s Day. In selecting books carefully consider your boyfriend’s dreams, interests and hobbies and try to select a book or a few books which reflect these interests. For example if you know your boyfriend wants to study to be a personal training you might consider purchasing books related to this idea such as books on how to become certified as a personal trainer or how to start your own personal training business. This type of gift really shows that you pay attention when your boyfriend is talking and that you support his hopes and dreams. You can also purchase books related to his hobbies. For example if enjoys doing work around his house you can purchase a few home remodel books or other books for do-it-yourselfers.

Women often overlook the gift of jewelry when they are shopping for their boyfriends on Valentine’s Day. However, there are opportunities for women to buy jewelry as a Valentine’s Day gift. For example, a nice watch is one gift which will likely be appreciated. If your boyfriend is often without a watch or wears a sports watch all the time, you might consider purchasing a more sophisticated watch which would be more appropriate for work or going out. Cufflinks or a tie tack can also be appropriate gifts of jewelry for women to give their boyfriends on Valentine’s Day. Your boyfriend may not dress up often but when he does, he will likely appreciate these little touches to make his outfit more stylish.

There is an old saying that says the best way to get to a man’s heart is through his stomach. Many women already know this and are well aware that a gift of a homemade meal is one of the best gifts they can give their boyfriends on Valentine’s Day. Most men do not cook much. This means if they are living alone, they typically have simple meals or order takeout. This can become very boring after awhile and many men would love for their girlfriends to cook them a romantic dinner on Valentine’s Day. It may seem overly simple but it is definitely one gift which is likely to be appreciated. Try cooking something you and your boyfriend don’t eat often or try making his favorite restaurant meal at home.
