Okay, there more sites catering to dating for seniors than listed above. Some of these include Senior Friend Finder and Prime Singles among others. eHarmony is not really a site for senior dating, but a matchmaking site for people seeking marriage partners. eHarmony's largest membership demographic appears to be between 35 and 49 according to Quantcast. Match.com has similar demographic. Both sites have a healthy number of singles over 50.

There is plenty of dating site lingo to decode. For instance, I'm not sure what the request for "high moral standards" means, but probably no sex.
This is contrary to the description "loves to cuddle." That definitely means sex.
When a prospect says "send me a message" you can assume 1) he can't type; 2) he's illiterate or 3) he's just plain lazy. Move on.
If a person goes on and on about how successful he was before he retired, he's probably having a hard time adjusting to retirement. Face it, you might have been a big deal CEO, but now you're retired and you're nobody, just like the rest of us.
For God's sake - save me from "likes walks on the beach." It's been beaten to death.

I like it that the writer actually helps us decipher the lingo as well as the underlying meaning of some things people say. And yes, that "walks on the beach" thing is beyond tired. The lesson here is to be yourself and avoid clichés when writing your dating site profile.

Beware scammers
Scammers are out there, and they are looking for you. If the speech seems too flowery, delete. If he sounds like someone from a Danielle Steel novel - delete. Think! Americans and Canadians don't talk like that. We are pretty down to earth.
