In most speed dating events, you have about 8 minutes to make an impression. This is the reason it is sometimes also known as the 8 minute date. Depending on the organizer and number of participants, the allotted time could be slightly more or less. Your objective is to squeeze the most out of this very limited time, without feeling pressurized.

The first thing to do even before arriving at the event is take care of yourself. You want to look your best without being ostentatious or pretentious.
